I hope that everybody is inviting their friends, family and especially all of those players who have said "I'm coming out in the new year". For Bob "camera guy", that doesn't have anything to do with someones' sexual orientation either. Boxing Day, as you all know or should know, is a huge club day and it gives an opportunity to connect with past members, new members and their families. The game is, of course, of primary importance for the brave souls not too fat to tie up their boots after the Xmas dinners. Kick off, I am assuming, will be the traditional noon to oneish! Bring whatever you have left over from the holiday dinners for appies and make sure that you pass the word around. Apparently the overs have been practicing at the Black Bear Pub on Friday afternoons-------------------the stair climb to the top floor can be a bitch after a steak and kidney pie!!!!!!!!!!

Email from Peter Iorns:
Happy Navidad to you and your kind. Forget Christmas and think Boxing day. Time to take the little ones down a peg or two. The Club will be open from noon and the on field activities will begin at 1.00 pm The senior side will wear their traditional festive attire..yellow and black. The youth may wear anything else. The game itself will consist of 2 halves of 30 mins each. The first period will be festive and fun in nature allowing us older folks to show our true colours. The second half after the departure of the elder statesmen will be more serious in nature. The half time show will feature our own Tom the Welsh slipping his one out and then toasting the native land. Bottles of very expensive port will be supplied by say no more Steve Hand Cock and the very jovial elf and owner of the Black Bear ..John. Thank you. Asked to referee but as yet not responded..twin mattress father the Seeley. For the raffle a set of club strip has been generously donated by Lance and I will throw in a bottle of rye to be consumed on the premises. As in the past any food goodies you have left over from the day before and wish to be rid of please bring down to the club..stuff that can be washed down with gallons of beer. i.e trifle, blancmange , homemade custard tarts. And last but not least please bring down your friends and relatives..this is a fun day to be shared by all. All my lot will be in attendance, from the Uruguayan pilot, his missus , the 2 grandkids and my other daughter Debbie from France. From my family to yours have a great Christmas. Cheers Rusty Pete
